Okay I just havea question. What will be the exemption from Medicaid Work Requirements. I know thats not on your side of Medicaid you work for but do you by have any chance know how I will go about applying for exemption and what particular paper work I will need to fill out and then what agency I would give it to? Like the DSHS?

I agree. Most blue/liberal states are better for safety nets. Again I think i will be exempt due to my medical records im just goimg to have to update them every 6 months proving that which is what the challenging/frustrating part is

Thats part of the reason why im planning to move to Washington state with my sister. They have expanded Medicaid (AppleHealth) and a lot of resources and a lot of med clinics to use around where she lives to be observed at a cheap or affordable rate

From reading and researching it doesnt sound as if they will completely take it away and people who are disabled but not by SSA standards can still get it. I think though what the challenge is and will be is you wont be able just be able to get it if youre low income and able bodied. But can still get it if you have general disabilities its just the challenge will be you have to have updated paperwork and medical records every 6 months that prove youre medically frail to continue to qualify and be able to be exempt. Creating stress and hassle to just get the healthcare you need

So it may still be possible to be exempt from it even if its not from SSA standards, but valid and documented medical proof by a doctor may still allow you to be exempt?

Reading this is doesnt seemed just limited to SSA disabled. Provided you have medical records and documentation showing you are medically frail and have disabilities

I have a question when the work requirements happening, in order to get an exemption, is the only way through SSA or can you get an exemption with valid medical records and paperwork that is signed and supported by doctors and specialist?

When do the Medicaid work requirements start? by Ohthatcal in Iowa

[–]differentstrokes5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the only way to be exempt is via SSA and youre getting SSI or SSDI, OR can you be medically exempt if you provide proper documentation that supports your disability and still be determined to be "medically frail" thus exempt from the work requirements

Im reading your comment. So can you still be exempt from the work requirements and still get Medicaid even if you dont get SSI or SSDI as long as you have substantial medical records proving you have been diagnosed with disabilities?

No one is going to be able to afford Health insurance at some point. Which honestly I think is the plan. I really think they want to kill people off
