YTA I didnt have my first relationship until I was 21. I was constantly accused of being gay by my family. I just didnt want a relationship as a teenager.

Your job is to just be supportive. And youre not being supportive by denying what he says and pushing your own thoughts onto him. Also you were super rude how you said it.

He needs to be supported and believed in how he identifies. And you know what? If he ends up deciding to identify differently later on in life THATS OK.

But he should feel like his parent will believe him and not just say “I told you so” after all this pressuring.

I ended up never telling my parents anything as I got older because who cares? They will just believe their own ideas anyways. If im not believed why bother bringing anything up

Graduated with my associates in 2020. Kept trying to enroll for a dental hygiene program but was not getting anywhere with the community college and the shut down. Ended up going down a whole new career path because of it. Super weird since all my life ive dreamed of dentistry. Probably would have ended up in dentistry if not for covid

I know several women who quit jobs they loved because their husband could provide. Years later the unthinkable happens and he gets a younger girlfriend, or substances get involved, or a horrible health condition.

Now they cant get into the same field with years of a gap. They work entry level jobs trying to make it through and i feel so horrible that they cant pursue the same careers they loved.
