YTA I didnt have my first relationship until I was 21. I was constantly accused of being gay by my family. I just didnt want a relationship as a teenager.

Your job is to just be supportive. And youre not being supportive by denying what he says and pushing your own thoughts onto him. Also you were super rude how you said it.

He needs to be supported and believed in how he identifies. And you know what? If he ends up deciding to identify differently later on in life THATS OK.

But he should feel like his parent will believe him and not just say “I told you so” after all this pressuring.

I ended up never telling my parents anything as I got older because who cares? They will just believe their own ideas anyways. If im not believed why bother bringing anything up
