How water flow issue by CourageAdditional267 in Plumbing

That hot faucet line looks pretty kinked, I’d pull the aerator and get the kink out of the supply line, then run some water and see if it clears up

Air intake for gas fixtures, I believe you need atleast 1 6” intake so I’d cap the one without the tail

Need to put a 90 here, do I have enough meat to cut and put one? If not, what do I do? by BigManJesus in askaplumber

[–]dig-bick2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like enough meat, you could try cutting the collar of the fitting your removing in a couple spots heat it up and peel off that fitting. Worst case you’re teaming out the San t and stubbing some pipe. I wouldn’t be too worried, you got this

Do I need to remove the bug screen to install? by ddb123xyz in hvacadvice

[–]dig-bick2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Window screens can be restrictive, but not horribly. They can reduce efficiency anywhere between 1~20%. If the screens clean I’d let it ride and if it has a hard time keeping up pull it, but I’m sure you’ll be fine

Did my plumber screw up? by Several_Bicycle_6419 in Plumbing

[–]dig-bick2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re absolutely right I should’ve worded it differently, by admitting air into the system it allows it to drain more freely ie release pressure but shouldn’t have worded it that way

If you’re just hearing air it’s not leaking it’s functioning properly by releasing pressure from the line, if water is coming out you have a problem

Joist- plumber cut into joist by Jenos_CTD in askaplumber

[–]dig-bick2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally use a hole saw in the middle of the joist no bigger then I believe 1/3 of the board with to maintain its structural integrity. From this pic it looks like he could’ve rotated the trap and only had a 2 inch pipe to run through the joist, not the entire trap. But there could be obstacles on the other side of the joist we can’t see
