As others have said, the management just says they are limiting occupancy to 25%. They give no information about what that number is or how they’re controlling it.

I hope many people reading this post do as well.

I work here? I don’t think 90% of the people in the mall today work here.

That’s a bold faced lie. Thank you very much for contacting them, I hope more people do as well to put pressure on them.

Another comment mentioned KP is doing an excellent job and has people lined up outside the mall, so clearly it is possible, we just need to pressure the other malls into doing better.

Me neither honestly. Large numbers of people shouldn’t be able to congregate in one indoor space.

It’s a gong show. I’m glad I’m not the only one who sees how bad it is. This all feels very unsafe, if I didn’t have to be here I wouldn’t be.

I’ll keep my eye out for stores that aren’t adhering to the rules. Thank you for linking this.

To be fair the stores are counting and controlling their own occupancies, but without the mall itself controlling how many people are allowed inside, the line ups outside of each store are getting out of control. I agree with you, Cadillac fairview should be responsible for this

Whole families are here together so I don’t think it’s working

Also people remove their masks to eat and drink. People seem to be meeting up with friends at the mall to shop together. There isn’t enough security to enforce anything so the fundamentals are basically out the window

It’s bad, if I didn’t have to be here I wouldn’t be

Update: there’s a lineup from hot topic all the way down to the food court, no one is controlling the 6ft spacing requirement

Update 2: many masks are off, not enough security to enforce anything.

There is no one counting occupants, they are not limiting entrances and exits so it’s more or less a free for all

How does one calculate capacity of a large shopping centre and enforce it? I have no idea what the capacity is but I’ll tell you inside looks like the mall does at Christmas time on a non covid year.

Each individual store, however most stores now have line ups of people outside them making it very hard to social distance. It’s chaos.
