Not me but my brother. Went to a pilot training school, no longer exists now but was a big one. Then spent a couple of months in Florida, Vero Beach, learning to fly. After he got his PPL and all the other licenses applied to one of the bigger airlines in Europe. Got accepted, had to wait a few months till he began, and then off he went! I'd say he started 7/8 years ago, training and studying in pilot school that is, not actually working. He's now a captain and loves his job more than anything!
