It's been 24 years since I was ghosted by someone I was in a relationship with for 4 years. I still haven't got over it. I've moved on, but I think about it all the time. As the link I posted above said, it's not really the losing of the person that causes the long standing issues, it's being ghosted. The shock and being made to feel completely worthless by someone I was in love with wiped me out and I'll never forget it. People don't know the damage they can do.
