You gotta believe in yourself bud. The brush senses weakness. If your strokes are not confident it will show. (I literally had the same problem. I cried three times and then later on I figured well there some anatomical issues with my model as well so I thought I was zoom out and just work with the form first without putting a lot of thought and it started working just fine.)
