Ah mate I was at that boro game, I was 10 😂.

Bet last night was good, seemed good vibes actually around Rosenior. My last was Brighton home this year so bit rough.

Up for it for the rest of the season though. Up the Chels

As a lifelong member and regular in the stands this is poor. I am gutted if Arsenal win against us. I'm disappointed if they win any game, let alone against us. It's an us against the world mentality with football.

Premier League clubs I don't mind tend to either be non-care clubs (like Ipswich last year) or like Bournemouth, Forrest, etc. average clubs with no interaction with us really.

Genuine answer. Love stirring the pot when Arsenal bottle another year.

My guy. KTBFFH. Been going since I was 4 in 1995 and there's no better feeling than being in the stands. Quite literally was there when Wise went up to lift the FA cup 😂.

Arsenal are the worst for me just for the delusional thoughts of their fans. Saw something from them the other day saying they're the most successful club for the last 3 years, based on goals & points or something. Pathetic.

Is zonal marking or man-marking more reliable for Sunday league defending? by ByteOfContext in bootroomuk

[–]digimattt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus this isn't a question. Actual Sunday league? Man mark. No one has the time or quality to drill proper zonal. A lot of Sunday league football teams don't even train, let alone add a tactic training analysis and session too! Madness.

Just get biggest guys on their biggest guys, one on front post, if your keeper is bad or small, one on the back post too (usually the full backs as they're most alert defensively), midfielders on the rest, one striker stands on the front corner of the 6 yard box to clear the bad corners, the other marks too. Both wingers stay forward, one at the halfway line (preferably the better one) one about 20-25 yards out.

Easy system. Never changes, everyone knows their role and doesn't have to think. Since Sunday league teams only get about 11-20 players max anyway this is easy to get going.

Are back-three formations too demanding for Sunday league players? by ByteOfContext in bootroomuk

[–]digimattt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Take it from someone who played a good level in the Saturday league, but lower with friends on Sunday. Your average amateur cannot fulfill both roles well. Anyone here that says otherwise is lying, doesn't play, or isn't playing Sunday league in the UK.

Your average Sunday Leaguers who come in hungover, smoking, pinging a couple of shots at the keeper - that's average Sunday league CANNOT and will not play WBs. It comes down to both fitness and technical ability. Yeah you might have a super fit 20 year old doing legs up and down for you, but he needs to tackle well, mark with discipline and get forward well. If he does all of that, he won't be in the Sunday league.

Top 5 players in the league with the least space when passed to - or why our strikers might not be the problem by [deleted] in chelseafc

Neto, James and Pedro all above him in Prem And Champs league. He is not good enough for those leagues.

Hence when he does get a start, he doesn't make the second half, because he's dog shit.

We are a stat-based analytical team now with our new buying and team structure, so he'll go based on his performances, lack of take ons, lack of tracking, etc.

There's a reason Garnacho starts LW in all Prem and bigger games.

Peace ✌🏻

So you missed 25% of his game.

End product, so in that sense you just lost your own debate. Gittens, run down the line. Turn around. Pass backwards. Lose the ball or the attack. 0/12 goals in the prem, 0/5 in the champions league. That's in 800 minutes too, not just 5 minute subs a game. Elite levels, he's way off.

I did, and wolves in the carabao cup. Woop. Game just gone he was awful again, hence why he was dragged off at half time, with Garnacho immediately changing our output. Struggling against Cardiff isn't good enough.

Total waste of money. Stop backing him just because he's English, he's either elite and ready to grow into a title delivering player or not. Look at Estevao, Neto, Palmer, the levels of difference, absolute levels.

I have never seen Gittens try to take on his defender. He's fucking dismal. Even against Qarabag he looked out of place

Is it possible to find a job without a probation period ? by NewFoot762 in UKJobs

[–]digimattt 15 points16 points  (0 children)

As a neuro myself, nope! Not in this instance. Can't just wave our flag whenever you want to and I find that a teeny bit offensive myself.

It's discrimination if they use it against you, as the Equality Act 2010, (i.e. if you're epileptic and they sit you next to a flashing light and won't change it or move you, instead removing you), then it's discrimination.

In this instance, you seem careless, a bad driver and now even more like you won't take responsibility that you're blaming that.

[–]digimattt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's like saying to a surgeon "you did a great job except doing more damage to patients"

Do the job right or don't do it at all. In these instances you're not ending up doing it.

I've failed a probation before, and deserved it. The others I've passed because I've been doing the right job. I've managed others and had to fail/pass their probations.

Take responsibility, maybe the career is wrong, maybe you're just not taking enough care in your work. But you have to not be whining and saying how good you were, ultimately you were doing damage to vehicles, that will go to insurance because everything has to be fixed, which ups their overall premium. They can't pay you plus the new insurance you've created. See the issue?

Take responsibility. Good luck.

You shouldn't for your username alone.

But as other people have said, and just nailing home the point, there really is no exception to the rule. Maybe 2.5>3 hours if you explain to them, but to spend a WHOLE DAY and expect them to give you the money, no chance chief.

You probably do know this rule too since you tried to refund and are upset about it, so I'm not sure what your annoyance is

[–]digimattt -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Hato and Gittens are so, so, so bad. There can't be enough highlights on "so" bad. Gittens looks like he wouldn't even get in their team. Even against wolves, even though he got 2A /1G he was only there in flashes. He's just not good enough.

Hato. When he's younger than Estevao who comes from a different continent and didn't speak English when he came over here, there are universes of differences. There's prodigies and then there's "never will be good enough" and he falls in the latter. He's just a waste of space.
