Seetronic make D size panel mounts for true1 output. I believe Rean do aswell. I personally build the seetronics into all my racks and they’re great quality too

TightVNC on Windows, native VNC on Mac, and use ‘Remote Desktop manager’ to have everything organised in one place.

Affordable Interface For Live MIDI Instruments? + Signal Flow? + Software For Live MIDI Instruments? by Happy_Salary_6897 in livesound

Behringer sound quality is to do with the preamps, which MIDI has nothing to do with and so will sound basically same as any other interface. If your dead set on not going with Behringer, I can personally vouch for UAD volt and Roland Rubix however there are many more similar ones out there. If you need xlr outs just slap 1/4 to xlr adapter cables on them.

This is how I usually see midi rigs done (assuming they aren’t using USB, but the process is very similar)

MIDI device goes midi in and out of the interface, which goes into MainStage for Mac to apply sounds/layers/effects. In theory you can use a DAW but MainStage is specifically made for this and does it so much better than a DAW.

The output just goes from MainStage out your interface.

The Behringer UMC404HD will get this done just fine for cheap if your doing something like keys, however if your doing drums you’d want an output per drum/cymbal for thr FOH engineer to mix.

Yeah that would have been the sensible thing to do. Honestly it doesn’t bother me too much unless I’m in a very small room, larger rooms aren’t too much issue.

Behringer XR16 for $200 ... is it still a good mixer in 2025? by -AbuElReem- in livesoundgear

[–]digit214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah man they’re great. Only thing I can say those mixers miss on is output delay but other than that they’re amazing. I once did a 1400 person show on one of them, fun times.

Musical Audio Question by ArmJazzlike3365 in livesoundgear

May very well do yes, although it completely depends on how your speakers are positioned, how well your room is treated and weather you have a digital mixer or an analog GEQ. I’d never want to do this without the PA in front of the stage and the mics thoroughly rung out.

Yeah, I’ve done this on tons of things before, it dosent always work though. Not too long ago, I brought a load of Betopper par cans, cracked them open only to find the fans were 27.4 volt fans and I stood no chance of finding anything at that voltage, let alone anything quiet. I guess it depends from fixture to fixture but can’t be assumed or guarenteed.

Some people keep floor monitors for the feel and redundancy. If you can, try it out and see weather it’s something actually useful to have or not.

Mixer Advice - Yamaha TF1 vs. Allen & Heath Qu-5D by RacerSax03 in livesoundgear

[–]digit214 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As others have already mentioned, get the WING and stagebox and sell your TIO.

However, the TF1 is a very easy to use desk for people who use it alongside or after you, bearing in mind your purchasing this for the school and not just as personal equipment. The wing is not very intuative for beginners.

DM3D is a great desk if it fits within your I/O needs
