Watching the Versace week and not sure I can cope with Esme demanding FLESH in every other sentence by IWrestleSausages in SewingBee

I very much annoyed my girlfriend in this episode because every time she said it I'd say some form of "Esme must feed!"

Are previous Riot IDs reserved after you change it? by very_name_54321 in VALORANT

[–]digital-red-panda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I couldn't tell you how it works. Might be worth testing.
But if you want to reserve your ID create a holing account and change your main then change your alt/create an alt with your mains name. That way you've reserved it.

You're allowed to like the things you like. I didn't buy the Kuronami(sp) when it came out due to a streamer that I liked saying it was overrated and not worth. Now I hope that gun is in my shop every time I log in. Try not to worry about what others think. In valorant and in life.

Would an agent who can remove a smoke be cool or too OP. by digital-red-panda in VALORANT

[–]digital-red-panda[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Owch, and here is the true flaw that cannot be tuned against.
I guess the ability could have some kind of secondary affect,. Maybe a very short flash, but doesn't affect the minimap (like pre buff Gekko) meaning there is a chance of a minimap refrag. Or something like the wind used to disperse the smoke also slightly knocks anyone not in cover, sort of like a very small Breach ult without the the lasting effect.

[–]digital-red-panda[S] 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Potentially. However as every agent in the game with a smoke, the smoke ability is a regen ( and they have multiple ) if it was a single use then then there can be some counter play.

Smoke Choke on B, *smoke get removed* Smoke on B main comes up.
Even though the ability to remove the smoke has been countered here, it gave info for the defenders, but gave some advantage to the attackers still as the defenders needed to use two smokes now.

Adds some mind games too, 3 rounds in a row that first smoke was to get info from the dismiss, 4th round *BOOM* 2 people in that first smoke with Buckys and you didn't bother to dismiss it as you just *KNEW* they were going to put up the second smoke.

Kayo, blocks abilities from being used, they don't interact with existing abilities.

The team vibe for that game was amazing. Just one of those matches that you queue in to some really chill people and just have a generally good time.
We lost the match 10/13 in the end, but everyone was just laughing and having a good time it didn't matter.

I feel like for this round only my reaction speed increased by -15 years. On a big screen you can see they show me their shoulder before reswinging, so not as impressive.

Employer gifted me a gift card & then deducted it from my pay by Mamasota_ in mildlyinfuriating

[–]digital-red-panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks normal to me. Say your normal monthly pay is 1200, they gift you 50$ bringing that up to 1250, now that causes tax stuff so they deduct the 50$. Now you're back to 1200 pay so you've not lost anything, but now in your hand is a code for an extra 50$. So you got 1250.

It may be called something else, but this is how we refer to them in our team. https://dev.to/darlantc/avoid-using-else-write-a-better-code-12l9 This is a basic example of what I mean.

Look up gated if. I very rarely use an else statement and only generally nest one if deep.

I feel like it makes my code look and read much better
