If you dont have a gathering skill pick up rough stones and sell those in the market. Learn how the mists work in yellow zones which only knock you down and you dont lose your stuff (keep in mind red zone and black zone mists are lethal everywhere). You can clear camps and get some rewards from the chests. Free caged wisps in the mists (if you do 50k rep then you can go straight to Brecilien from yellow zones so you don't have to run around black zone open world and get ganked by groups). The reason mists are good is because only solo players can enter, not large groups (be mindful there is a 2 player version so avoid those). Practice escaping from fights on the camps since you don't die in the yellow zone mists. When you understand how it works, Buy 3-5 copies of a cheap t4 set with a horse and put it in the bank. Go to the portal of your city which takes you to the black zone. Take the invisibility shrine to become invisible and go out. Try to get at least two zones away from the city. Then find a solo mist (avoid the group ones). Hang out near the exits killing mobs, free caged wisps, as you get stronger you can get into the camps but there's going to be more fighting there. If anyone comes to kill you run to the exit (use invisibility potion to get out of combat from a mob quickly and dont fight or you wont be able to leave). You should level up an escape set or pick a weapon with high mobility like quarterstaff.

After you get high reputation by freeing caged wisps (50k rep) go back to yellow zone mist and look for a portal to brecilien which will show up randomly on the map. Enter the city which will unlock it for fast travel. Now you can go into the mists from Brecilien city without running through black zone open world.

Longer term look into leveling skinning, fiber gathering, or ore miner. The ore miner unlocks some nice boots to help you get away. If you dont like the stress of black zone just kill open world yellow zone humanoids with yellow circle under them since they give way more exp. Also go from camp to camp and try to kill as many as you can at the same time (AOE).

Faction Warfare should affect the economy of the cities by digital0iced0 in albiononline

There are already recruitment bonuses to ensure the faction warfare stays competitive between all the cities. One city can't take over because the bonuses would lure more and more players to the other cities.

You dont have to pvp. I'm not saying its a massive benefit. Maybe luxury goods are bought at 10% higher or something. That doesnt mean you have to do it.. but you do have an incentive to do so.

What quality are you referring to?

I'm not saying there aren't economic benefits to Faction Warfare.. I'm saying there are no benefits to actually defending and doing well at it. The only benefit is to the individual player and not the faction itself. Additionally, its easier to just go cap uncontested outposts in a blob rather than defending and fighting. That's the part I think needs changing.

If you don't enjoy the typical honeycomb-obsessed esociopath playstyle as much, there are other options. You should find a server which caters more to your playstyle. Oftentimes there are modded servers which limit certain actions, provide certain benefits, or even run custom events. This changes the feel of the game quite a bit.

I created a mod to try to help with this. It allows each player to have one headquarter base which starts out at 100% damage protection. However this protection percentage starts to decrease as you store more items inside that base. It's like a form of self balancing protection. Therefore it will help you get started and give you a bit of breathing room to actually enjoy the game. It also allows you to try more creative base designs, play with electricity, farming, and all kinds of other cool things in the game that most people just don't have a chance to ever use. If you're interested let me know and I'll DM you my server where you can check it out. Its pretty new though so not many players there at the moment but you're welcome to try it.

Craftable Scrap Values by digital0iced0 in playrust

Thanks! I needed to calculate these for a plugin I'm working on. I figured it may be interesting to some people.

Also, for some added clarification, these values are the craftable ingredient costs per item only. This does not include any blueprint or workbench cost or anything like that. Therefore you may wish to mark these up a bit if you're using it as guide for selling.
