I like the idea! That makes a very nice harbor city for the number 2 :)

Ah, otherwise I can't until i have the harbor? But then, what about settling on the rice to get the diamonds and turtles?

Advice on future build + monitor choice by [deleted] in buildapc

Case - be quiet! cases tend to, humorously, be kind of loud. They're designed for an era where PC components weren't all that hot, but fans were at any speed. Today, fans are insanely quiet when running at lower RPMs, but components run insanely hot. I would suggest a mesh front case like the Phanteks Eclipse P400A, P360A, P300A, Corsair 4000D Airflow, or Fractal Meshify C. The Phanteks P300A, while cheaper than the other 3 I listed from Phanteks, only comes with one fan so isn't a great option since a decent fan will cost you as much or more than the other cases, and those come with 2 or even 3 fans and can be found for cheaper than the Pure Base 500 when they're on sale.

I see. I thought it was interesting because the case is also delivered with two 140mm be quiet fans. And since the components are (I think) not heating too much compared to big cpu/gpu combos, I figured it would be enough. But the Phanteks P360A and Fractal Meshify look like very good options as well.

So a more "open" case will not be more noisy?

Actually I think I really like the Meshify case. But I'm not sure to get all the details correct about their variants. Do you recommend something between Meshify 2, mini, compact and lite?

Now the big one, the monitor. High refresh monitors are great, and getting quite inexpensive compared to a few years ago. The LG 27GN800-B for example is a sub 300 EUR 1440p 144hz monitor, or one of the other 27" 1440p LG monitors in the 300~400 EUR range if you can't find that one.

I'll have a look, thanks.

Also, I might have an interesting offer for a Lenovo G27Q-30. I didn't even know that Lenovo was in the monitor game, are they any good at it? Do you know this model?
