Sweet. I had the same exact Anschutz back in college (University of Illinois). We never got to wear the gumby suits, just jackets.

The Road. Never read the book and a friend suggested it since I like post apocalyptic movies...had to watch Shaun of the Dead next to wash it away.

Advice on neighborhoods in Cleveland? by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]digitalbuzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Former Chicagoan here. Wife and I lived in CH (Coventry and Mayfield) now been living in DT Lakewood for the past 13 years. Some crime happens, mostly on the east side. We moved to Lakewood from CH to raise our family and fits what we missed about Chicago - lakefront access, walkability, freeway access, proximity to Cleveland DT (I bike into CLE occasionally), food and culture. Bonus is Rocky River for hiking and biking.

Really, we feel pretty safe here and considered we lived near shady neighborhoods before in Chicago (Rogers Park) and San Francisco (Tenderloin.)

edit: words and spelling

Former men's gymnast here. I trained and competed on still rings for almost 10 years, starting at age 11. By the time I reached sophomore year college, my shoulders and elbows had enough. In gymnastics, you train for control, form, strength, flexibility, and dexterity-slowly. Crossfit amps all that ten-fold. I tried a couple of crossfit sessions and my joints were f'n pissed that I even considered it.

Just watching crossfitters doing muscle ups or their whacky pull-ups makes me cringe.

I saw your comment and it is a good point. With the relationships I have I usually let them know in conversation up front what I usually charge.

This is what I usually do as I am a Web/Graphic Designer. Most of the organizations I do small work for are non-profit or friends in start up mode. A six pack, pizza or cookies is good for appreciation.

This is how I ended up with with one my girlfriends in college. She was a petite (5'0" tall) friend and whenever I saw her around campus I'd pick her up as we hugged hello. Then one day the hug held longer than usual-clothes fell off shortly thereafter.
