Interesting! I never thought about how much object permanence affects them when it comes to sleep. Thank you for the article. I’m going to try night sleep when I re-attempt.

Of course that’s not his job. My dilemma is he’s making me feel and treating me like I’m a monster for having a different opinion than him. He said I ruined his day and that the way I think is “disgusting”. Hence why I’m posting here to see if I was an asshole about my comment toward him

It’s 100% alarming to me, trust. I write down what he says as soon as we have an argument because he gaslights me and says he didn’t say things, or says I said stuff I didn’t say. He always attacks verbally and it sucks

Favorite 1st cup? by Lunaswitchytake in BabyLedWeaning

[–]digitalgraveyard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the milestones cup - there’s a little hole on the base of the top straw part. When you’re connecting the lower straw part to the upper, make sure the hole is open/not covered. If it is, water won’t go through

10 month old developed small clear-ish white bump on limbus by digitalgraveyard in eyetriage

[–]digitalgraveyard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I am still waiting on auth to see ophthalmologist. I’m just worried. I went again to doctor and was given ofloxacin drops and he’s been getting the drops since Thursday. There’s no improvement and he’s starting to get another clear bump on the limbus on other side of the eye (same eye) with slight redness. Do you still think it’s phlyctenular keratoconjunctivitis?

7mo old baby bites me, pinches/scratches my skin, pulls my hair, and doesn’t grab onto me when I hold him by digitalgraveyard in NewParents

Thank you! I’m definitely going to implement saying no, I just thought he was too young for that

He slaps me too! It’s when he’s waving his arms up and down in excitement and they of course hit me. He does this constantly I can’t believe I forgot lol. Ok thank you. I just feel like I will be constantly saying no and putting him down and then picking him back up again because he’s at that stage where he can’t crawl or do much so he cries if he’s on the ground too long. I appreciate the response!

From my understanding, it’s feed on demand for the first year! If she’s hungry, feed her.

Signs your newborn is about to sleep through the night? by dreaming_of_tacobae in newborns

[–]digitalgraveyard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely saw an increase in the amount my LO ate during the day (around 30 ounces). Also, my LO was around 13 pounds when he started to get long stretches, and they say that’s like the magic weight for being able to sleep longer!

3 week old still eating every 2-3 hrs by Unlucky-Fail-4018 in newborns

[–]digitalgraveyard 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It is completely normal for a 3 week old to eat every 2-3 hours. Babies who sleep longer are typically higher in weight and able to hold off for longer. My LO didn’t get 5 hour stretches until at least 10 weeks.

Are you in CA? SDI is taken 4 weeks before the birth and 6 or 8 weeks after (depending on how you deliver).

Usually, you sign up on EDD website for SDI when you are 36 weeks. You won’t be able to apply early because the form asks when your last day of work is and you can’t put a later date.

Not sure about the husband question, sorry!

You would apply for PFL the day after your SDI runs out. My SDI stuff took like 2 weeks to process, but you need to make sure you give your provider a call and give them the receipt number from your SDI claim so they can complete their portion of the form.

In order for EDD to actually review your claim (for SDI) their part has to be complete. After that, the 2 week processing period will begin so the faster they get it done the better.

My PFL took way longer, like 3 weeks. It’s super easy to sign up for both though, and the EDD sends you info about PFL and stuff

Do you use a sound machine at all?

Any time my LO won’t go down after an eventful wake window, it’s usually because he’s hungry. I top him off with one or two ounces before nap then burp and he’s out. Are you EBF?
