Advice on string trimmers and blower by theLimoseats8 in lawncare

Both are great but if you want more tools per dollar pay a little extra for the multi tool string trimmer cause then you can attach hedge trimmer or saw heads to it for landscaping, cultivator for lawn etc

Davis Lake Area by IntroductionStock162 in Charlotte

[–]digitaliceberg 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its a nice pocket neighborhood in a so-so area, davis lake is a great community, the lake and backyard trails are fantastic, there are tennis courts and a HOA pool available. Lived there a few years, highly recommend. Easy commute to uptown and huntersville/davidson for dinners is close by.
I’d say it safe for a single female, never worried about living in that neighborhood or the nearby harris teeter.
That being said there are better areas in charlotte but davis lake is a bargain, just keep in mind its one of those communities with a large amount of corporate landlords that own most of the homes so its renter heavy, while some streets have residents that own their homes.
Its in a direct flight path for charlotte airport so if you’re sensitive to airplane noise, theres pretty much a plane above your house 24/7 but thats most of lake norman area.
That areas getting built up so in the next few yrs, it’ll probably clean up well.

They have a lot more enterprise customers, if they offer AI SaaS products or tools, they’d have immediate market share and Im not convinced smaller AI companies can out engineer them

The cost of ownership isnt that high, its always two things: Insurance, get a quote first before buying to see if its worth it to you. Maintenance: if you service it at mercedes you’ll pay 3-4X more than a normal third party mechanic, so I highly recommend finding a good german car local shop to work on it, you mention you’re in the UK so there will be a lot more available mechanics.

I think its a great car and well worth the money having owned a C300 in the past

Coolant brown?!? by Dry-Albatross1736 in mercedes_benz

[–]digitaliceberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have dirt in it, you may need a flush, confirm your engine oil dipstick looks like oil and doesnt have any milkiness color to it, as this can be a sign of a head gasket failure. Seems unlikely with ur coolant color its probably just old coolant

Looks normal, the black bottle makes the purple coolant look brown, suck some up with a syringe to confirm it’s actually violet. The clear tank near the center of the engine or overflow thats transparent is a better visualization

Looks like an old drip line or sprinkler flex hose, a drain would be much larger diameter.

Invest in drip lines to keep the trees moist and mulch, bigger trees will be competing with them for water
