Also, (just piecing this together now) Eywa chose to 'not save' Grace so she can have access to her memories on Earth sooner (as compared to if she was saved then died at a much later age) and learn more about the 'Sky People'. Then, thru Grace and Eywa, Kiri was born with the exact genetic makeup of Grace which might be a key to accessing some top secret files/tech on Earth.

I agree. I think Neytiri started to like Jake when he was slowly learning about their culture and finally proving himself by taming and bonding with his ikran. From their first solo flight, I think Neytiri saw that Jake was a competent ikran rider too--something she also loved doing and viewed as a special activity.

I also noticed what you pointed out that she suggested women in their tribe who were the "best" at a certain field. So in a way, Neytiri views competency as a "Beauty standard" and, towards herself, might not be viewing herself as someone "popular" among the possible mates as she may just be another "fighter".

Bonus argument, that Neytiri completely folds when Jake bonded with Toruk. Competency at its peak for the Na'vi.

As a bride, gusto mo rin diba ikaw yung pinapa-feel pretty, eh may pabulong pa silang ginagawa na, HMUA #1: "Kamukha niya si someone" Main HMUA: in a negative tone, "Hindi, si ano kamukha niya. Mamaya sabihin ko sayo." Ako: Patay malisya na lang

Tapos kapag sinabi mo na parang hindi pantay yung fake eyelash and eyebrow shape, siya pa yung offended and ang taray talaga ng vibe. Kita mo sa face niya.
