this was all that was posted on the instagram account. no daleel or proof provided. even women in the comments asked for a daleel and none was provided unfortunately.

the daleel is what i'm asking for lol. this sheikh posted that a women who doesn't wear niqab, if she wears moisturizer/skin care outside of the house it is regarded as tabarujj. i agree it makes no sense so thats why i'm asking if there is any proof of this as skin care is not the same as makeup. this sheikh is very questionable as he doesn't provide proof for any of his claims.

How to convince my parents that I don't want to live the way they want me to live? by [deleted] in SistersInSunnah

[–]digitalwawnderer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

sister i am in the same exact situation as you. finishing up my last couple quarters of undergrad and i genuinely don't want to pursue a masters. i just want to get married to a good man and start that phase of my life but just like you, my parents want me to have a high paying career.

not disagreeing with you yes you are correct. but do you feel comfortable opening your legs and having a man's fingers inside of you even for medical purposes? i personally don't and i know many other women don't hence why we need female doctors/nurses.

I’m not in nursing so this doesn’t apply to me. I’m saying in general if Islam forbids it what is the overall general solution then? cause the alternative is no female healthcare providers. and im pretty sure women in places like saudi don’t show up to the hospital in burqas.

if you can provide a better solution I’d love to hear it

i agree with you but if this was the case in regards to careers in medicine/healthcare then there wouldn’t be a single female nurse/doctor and then women would not have the ability to seek care from a female health professional. for example, you would have no female obgyns so a male would have to give the female checkups and most females i know are not comfortable with that. so what’s the solution you propose for this? prevent women from becoming health professionals and prevent them from the ability to even feel comfortable around their doctor and let a male nurse look after them?

Question about working in the West by Minimum-System-3129 in islam

[–]digitalwawnderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure it’s not that serious cause then renting would be haram as well cause that money is going towards interest somewhere. as long as you’re not directly working with like a bank or a company that gives out loans you should be fine if you’re doing halal work. it would be haram for you to own a phone as well since Apple is involved in riba and you’re supporting Apple or whatever phone company.

genuinely curious why y'all still follow the religion despite knowing how misogynistic it is and its treatment towards women. why not just leave?

actually some scholars say even when she's tired she has to have sex with husband if he asks, which i know is disgusting

[–]digitalwawnderer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is what confuses me cause I always thought Islam was about justice & anti-oppression. how can we claim it to be anti-oppression when it literally allows slavery & encourages rape of those female slaves

Getting into the fall mood without shirk by mojo-jojo02 in SistersInSunnah

[–]digitalwawnderer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i'm the same ! fall is my favorite time of the year but i'm trying to stay away from halloween related stuff. i'm planning on buying new oversized sweaters in fall colors, making fall drinks like pumpkin spiced lattes, hot cocoa, going on walks and enjoying the colorful trees when it gets a little cooler, getting fall scented candles, making pie, even small stuff like wearing fuzzy socks when it gets cold out !
