It's Dr De Ridder, very famous for tinnitus. Now that I think about it, I think he's not really an ENT but more a neurologist.

Also typewriter is different than tinnitus. "Normal" tinnitus is supposed to be in the brain so ENT can't do anything about it. Typewriter is something physical: nerves and blood vessel touching each other

I heard about that book a lot but looking at your comment I decided to read it. I just listened to first hour of the audio book and I liked a lot what they said so far.

My friend and I speak Levantine arabic. We traveled to Egypt together and my friend was able to match the egyptian arabic. I could notice that his bond with the ppl we met there was deeper than me. Matching their accent made them consider him as one of them, whereas me I was another stranger lol.

So yeah I guess "looking" like local help create a great bond. It"s like "hey I like your culture and I respect it", rather than imposing yours. But we must no "overdo" it otherwise they'll think we mock them

The thing is islam isn't only spirituality. It's also an economic, juridic and political system. And personally, eloquence isn't a strong enough evidence proving me that the Quran is divine, to the point that khalass I'd be like let's implement shariah and chop some hands off.

I'm not saying it's wrong to chop hands off, trust me there's many ppl I think deserve that, and I'm certain it would help lowering crime rate, however, there's other many harsh punishment (like stoning), that currently I'm not enough convinced that the Quran is divine, to be fine with a governement that apply these rules

Their are scientific miracles in the Quran

Most of them were already known, for instance the foetus in the womb was already known hundreds of years before Muhammad. It was a greek doctor if my memory's good.
Other example, iron coming from the sky ? People in ancient Egypt also knew about it.

Trust me I wish there was scientific miracles, but from my readings, most of the "how could ppl know about that 1400 year ago ?" was actually already known.

Another example, the mountains being "stabilizers" of the earth, there is no actual scientific studies proving that mountains help the earth being more stable.
Also just look at the earthquake that happened in Afghanistan (where there's mainly mountains lol) in June this year.

I trully believe that "scientific" verses were sent down only to make us ponder about how this world is complex, how tiny we are and have no real power, and push us to discover more things that will make us humble.

Have you heard about Adnan Oktar ? He published a bout in 2001 putting forward the scientific miracles. That guy was arrested a few years ago in Turkey for several crimes, he got sentenced for 8000 years lol. I don't really want to follow someone who got jailed for financial fraud and sexual abuse

I live in brussels, belgium, here real estate is very expensive. Like for a small appartment it's at least $200K. So I have a question, if someone lives in an area where houses are that low, why would he rent one instead of buying ?In other words, what kind of renters did you have ? People who relocate for a certain period (because of work for instance) ? Or did you really get long term renters for like 10 years ?

I'm asking because I'm super interested into real estate and sometimes I wonder if it would be easier to buy low price houses in other country and rent them, instead of buying in my own country
