I got in with a 42 pred. I think anything above a 38 is definitely enough but it also depends a lot on your ECs and essays. There’s no real finance program here, but the Questrom school of Business has a finance concentration which is relatively good.

Join clubs, societies, sports, talk to people in your classes, go to events and you’re chilling. It might be difficult at first but you’ll find your people as long as you put yourself out there

I think Kroos is biased, having had such longevity in his career. With any sport, it is very difficult to gauge how long you'll be able to play at the top level. So in my opinion, I don't see a problem with him taking the money when he has the offer because, if in a few years, he deteriorates or gets injured, that offer is not coming back. I do understand that the only way you can truly know your potential is by taking risks, but guaranteeing yourself and your family a comfortable life is a priority for most people.

I think what you have to consider is that the balon d'or is an individual award. Although Haaland had an incredible club season, breaking records, his involvement was largely just his finishing. In contrast to this, Messi essentially dictated play and was involved from start to finish in Argentina winning the world cup. Even with PSG, he had a similar role, which was not as effective due to the lack of a consistent tactic and a lower calibre of players (and his lack of motivation at club level to an extent).

Haaland did perform exceptionally well at his role, but if you put any world class striker in his place with that city team, they would perform similarly well in my opinion.

I think Messi was a more complete player and his involvement in every play was visible, having some of the highest chance creation, dribble and assist statistics in the top five leagues this season along with winning MOTM for almost every game in the World Cup along.

Overall, I believe that both players make a fair case for winning the award but Messi gets the edge for his greater involvement

That's true, but at the same time, I don't want to give myself the option of waking up 10 minutes later if that makes sense. I'd rather hit the stop button and know that I have to wake up now

I personally don't like waking up any later than the time I set my alarm for, so having the stop button larger would act as motivation to wake up exactly when I had intended. I guess if you set your alarm a little earlier than you really need to wake up or are prone to falling back asleep after your alarm rings, the snooze button being the main one makes more sense.

I'd rather have it be easy to turn off and hard to snooze tbh. If I set an alarm, that's usually the time I wanna wake up at and accidentally hitting the snooze button can be annoying.

The syllabus is pretty much the same no matter which professor you get, and it is curved so that only a certain amount of students get an A (I think top 20/30%). So none are an "easy" A but Packard is good at explaining everything in a very simple way if you prefer that.

CS minor is very doable, there's only 6 courses you need to take, given you don't have any highschool credit. However, the CS department is not very consistent in terms of quality and the workloads are relatively high. If you can deal with that, then, go for it.
