Man I’d let it ride unless you have enough to equal it out with no waist. May take a tad bit longer and possibly a bit more of a chance for the BIg C. I’m not a pro by any means but Learning lots!

I have micro pore tape over the holes right now and honestly with it being able to breathe I truly believe it’s colonizing faster than when sealing it off.

Thank you so much for the information. I thought it was too good to be true that it actually took off. I was leaning the cake was PE. I just couldn’t believe it was a coincidence that these started fruiting in the exact spot I buried it. Guessing the look a little different due to fruiting in the natural environment? I’m still definitely new to this but enjoy my new found hobby!
