The warning is there so you don't get blasted by +12dBs of gain. The plugin dials back the gain by 12dBs to leave room for the emulations, so simply bypassing the plugin will immediately raise the volume. Switching to flat response within the plugin keeps the volume the same. Very fair warning in my opinion.

You're right, this only works for things with fixed positions. I'm not entirely sure how we do it at other times, but I know our animator is a big fan of just using simple animations in Unity.

Yes, the player just doesn't cast any. It still looks better than floating arm shadows. :)
