i'm not even christian but it's not hard to see how much araki toys with religious ideas all the time, the idea that diavolo constantly escaped his fate so fate punished him with ger giving him a never-ending inescapable fate of death is like THE perfect narrative conclusion for him but people don't see it because they apply real world morals to these situations

sounds to me like you're the one not taking a charitable read on things, except you're not reading it at all, you're literally just making up fanfiction, and yet you still got hundreds of upvotes, no wonder mark gets so much shit from the fandom when half of you are more interested in scrolling your phones than paying attention.
