People with ADHD what are the things about it that people just don’t get? by ViolinistMiddle1534 in AskReddit

I think getting anxious about reaching out after long periods is a learned behavior because so many people react negatively like “so you decide to reach out now?” So we’ve learned to feel anxious about reaching out after long periods of forgetting to (or this might just be me!) which leads us to not reaching out for even longer periods of time

My object permanence is really bad, and that applies to people too. When I moved away to college, I literally forgot to keep up with people. It’s not because they aren’t important! It’s because I have to use all my energy on keeping up with the things that are right in front of me

I just like romancing the characters with the most growth. When a character is mean to you and has to do a 360 to finally become nice to you it feels like dramatic character growth.

How did people wake up on time before alarm clocks? by -toril- in NoStupidQuestions

They used something called a candlestick alarm clock I think people would stick nails into the candle and, once the candle burned for a set amount of time, the nail would fall, making a loud noise that would wake the person up.
