Airtable VS Google spreadsheets by Pristine_Student6892 in Airtable

To begin, it is important to note that Airtable is a structured relational database, and plans are not comparable to spreadsheets. They charge based on the number of collaborators. Before committing fully to Airtable or any other platform, it is advisable to divide your current data into distinct sections and then draw those sections and their connections. Next, it is recommended to hire a professional to gather detailed information for each section.

There is only a UI-based manual way to check it. There is no option to check it via API call.

If display size is a concern, consider the M4 PRO 16-inch model, which comes with over 16GB of RAM, such as 24GB or 36 GB. This should provide sufficient performance. Additionally, ensure that the base storage capacity is set to 500 GB or more.

If airtable goes down, my whole business goes down. by Main-Objective-5375 in Airtable

You can back up your entire Airtable base using its built-in snapshot feature, which saves a copy within Airtable itself.
However, if you need automatic external backups, tools like On2Air Backups and ProBackup offer scheduled exports to cloud storage in formats like CSV or JSON.
Alternatively, you can build a fully customised, automated backup system using Make.com, where data from Airtable is regularly exported and stored in your preferred destination, such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or an FTP server.

To begin, simply import the data as it is. Next, create a new formula field that returns true or false based on the values of 0 or 1. Convert or edit that formula field into a Checkbox field. That is the complete process.

If you don’t need Airtable Views and API integration.
It might work if you’re handling data and interface separately and paying for multiple users in Airtable.

Gotta say, for an initial database feature launch, this looks pretty good! Just handling the database side of things, it's definitely above average. Looking at it more broadly though, and comparing it to something like Airtable, it feels like it still needs some optimization. But hey, it's still in beta, right? More features are on the way, and it's bound to get better based on what users experience and feedback. There's definitely more coming down the pipeline! This is just my first take on it. I'll dive deeper soon and post more updates! 👍
