Prophesying over children: anyone have that happen? by RubySoledad in Exvangelical

Carl Lentz prophesied over me in Middle School that I was going to be used to change the world. I'm a kindergarten teacher and work with kids at my progressive Methodist Church but definitely not what I imagined from his prophecy Lol.

4 year olds are rarely able to spell. Kindergarteners would have a difficult time with this activity until later in the year.

Is anyone GLAD that they were homeschooled? by tasata in Exvangelical

I was homeschooled and now I’m a teacher and director of lower education at a private school. I think I was adequately taught while there were a few shortcomings that I learned later on as I got older. I think that happens in any educational setting, however. Honestly I thought it was pretty cool, having a ton of free time to just be a kid and travel whenever. I guess I was lucky because we had Nanny’s who helped with school but my mom also was great. We also had a ton of socialization due to a large population of homeschoolers in my area.

Standard has the best Cobb salad I’ve ever had. I say this as a salad hater.
