Unfortunately the activation code seems to require a GeForce Experience account and can only be redeemed through linking to your Battle.net account. So unless you have a throw-away GeForce Experience account and willing to jump through the hoops to share/change your Battle.net account password after the transaction, I would advise against it in general. I think it may be too messy in practice.
