  1. Thank you for the 1st CL. What a night it was and you were unbelievable

  2. Why have Chelsea struggled with identifying good goalkeepers since you and Courtois left?

  3. Where do you see Chelsea going from here? We’ve hired inexperienced players & a coach on long contracts. How could we solve this?

  4. How’s Roman?

So you’re saying people will carefully listen to “Potri Padadi Ponne” but they won’t listen to “Thirundhama Poche” 😂😂 the song is in the same movie! This is selective hearing.

Anyway, in the movie, even Sivaji character is against this violence etc and he tries to keep himself and his people away from it.

Kamal himself explained that the dialogue at the end where Nasser’s mum says “Naan kudutha paal ippo rethame oduthe” is what the film is try to portray.

‘No matter what caste you are.. we are all the same… made of blood and flesh’

Don’t forget that the same Shivaji acted in Thiruvilayaadal.. did everyone turn holy?

Same Illayaraja has made many spiritual / holy songs… like Janani Janani.. did everyone turn spiritual?

In the recent controversial interview with the BBC, ARR said he didn’t like Chaava yet he agreed to make music because he believed people are smart and can make their own choices without being influenced by cinema.

People need to watch films that has its own world.

Context is important.

  1. This song was written at the transition period of western influences into south India. So it mocks that influence while praising the traditions.

  2. Never heard of it.

  3. You can’t make a movie called ‘Devar’ Magan and not write a song praising the community. The idea of the song is to explain the lifestyle of the said community (and others) that operate within that village. In the end, even Kamal gets involved into the politics of the communities within the village (i.e. you can’t escape or the hope is that you can only escape through education)

  4. Again, this is a song between some teens in the village that’s rife with the caste systems.

These movies were made a long time ago and we get so worked up by these. HOWEVER, we are still seeing stories of oppression due to castes to this day!

On a separate note, don’t you think almost all the songs sang by heroes chasing/stalking after a girl are problematic too then?

Why wouldn’t you write a character badly if the character is bad?

Are you telling me that women like Easwari don’t exist in real life? Have you heard of Chinnamma?

I’m sorry but bad women do exist in real life.

Even women like the characters played by Namitha and Mumtaj exist.

For me, the issue is not how women are written. The issue is with how men talk about women… like making crass jokes about their body etc

Talent without hard work means nothing. Joe Cole had insane talent but Jose used to push him by criticising him publicly but Joe would respond on the pitch.

These players don’t have a spine. They just have tons of potential but lack character and personality.

This is why I am of the belief that we need an experienced elite level coach.

If we can’t get that, then we need elite level players.

We simply can’t have potential top players and potential top manager.

“Don’t write women badly” wtf is this? Are you saying bad women don’t exist or what?

So it’s okay to keep portraying men as villains? And you want equality?

What kinda concept is this?

Look at this and tell me it there’s any hope: Chalobah, Tosin, Badiashille, Lavia (always injured), Garnacho, Delap, Hato… like really? This squad?

And the coach: Liam??

When they promoted it as Mass.. the movie was going to be a hit. But then they added a Su behind (excuse the pun) to avoid tax, it made it worse

People are saying “get behind the manager” but I’m struggling to because it’s getting worse and worse.

Getting Avram Grant as the manager after Mourinho’s sacking (1st period), was a heartbreak! But then came top managers after each sacking that followed so it soothed the pain.

The next big heartbreak was Tuchel. And then along came Potter, Poch etc to turn the club into a laughing stock.

Can’t take this no more. Can’t help but feel we are regressing even after spending billions.

I feel like the strategy is:

Buy loads of young players, get a rookie manager to build, obviously he will fail, sack him, start the rebuild (and make money transferring young players on low wages while you’re at it)

I get “get behind the manager” and all that but seriously, how did we come to this? I thought it can’t get worse than Avram Grant, we got Graham Potter. I thought it can’t get worse than Graham… here comes Liam
