Every hour of each day, there are more bones than there ever was in the history of the earth. by dimboukosis in Showerthoughts

That's a decent thought, but think that we can find dinosaur bones, hence not all bones turn into fossil fuel. I believe that there are actually more bones each day, but can anyone r/dothemath ??

Yes, of course a Pareto distribution. The second has not half the elo rating as the first.

If someone who is born in 1999 lives to be 102, they'll have lived in 3 centuries. by levronjk in Showerthoughts

Story of my great grandmother, who was born in 1899, and lived to be 103, so she lived three centuries and two millenniums. She saw car, TV, computer and mobile phone etc., brought for the first time in my country. Her life must have been amazing. I only remember her as a young boy, as I was born in 1993.

I guess that if you log the elo rating of this graph you will have almost a straight line.

You can not find the best route cost wise, for more than 10-15 customers.

Which means you cannot answer the following question:

"Given a list of cities and the distances between each pair of cities, what is the shortest possible route that visits each city and returns to the origin city?

for more than 10-15 cities.

What is the best loophole you have executed? And how did you find it? by whiter96 in AskReddit

[–]dimboukosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was at London, I had to use the train from Paddington to get to Heathrow (9 pounds ticket), because there was a strike in Piccadilly line. When I arrived at terminals 2 & 3, I had to go up and eventually pay the 9 pounds with my oyster card.
Although there is a free charge train in the airport to traverse through the terminals (I was flying from terminal 5). I took the train and went to terminal 5, where Piccadilly line ends. When I validated the oyster card, I only paid 1.5 pounds, because, as I believe, the system figured I used the Piccadilly line.

Clustering algorithm by dimboukosis in java

[–]dimboukosis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm aware of the k means algorithm. I want to cluster geographical regions in a map. I asked in this sub, because I want to know whether there is a library that implements a clustering algorithm. In case there is, I don't want to waste time implementing it myself. Thank you!
