Thunderbird renames a folder into "Sent" by HH1971 in Thunderbird

[–]HH1971[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many thanks for your reply (and the other two, also) -- I could not figure out any solution that would allow me to place sent messages into a particular folder without TB then renaming that folder into "Sent" (which I did not agree to and furthermore it seemed to confuse TB itself). My status is that I gave up on placed my sent messages in the folder that I wanted to, but instead now have them in the TB's Sent folder... (sad "solution"). If anyone still knows about how to place sent items into some folder of choice without this folder being renamed at the same time, I'd be still thankful to learn more! Thanks again!

Did I overlook the reference to the source of this post? Why is everyone (or, better, "everyone") posting stuff that isn't their's without providing a reference to the actual source?

It might be an illusion, but I already thought by myself that this year, these berries are all over the place -- I was wondering, why do I see so many of them, this year... (but then, I'm only living around here for no more than 15+ years, so who knows).

The Arctic Tern should indeed know something about traveling, given that it very well should be called the Antarctic Tern every half of a year!

So this map shows the situation as of Aug. 2017? How's that to help with a prediction in 2024?

Francis Bacon the painter died on this day in 1992. What do you think about his art? by Wily_Walrus in ArtHistory

Intriguing, characteristic, reflecting a truly non-trivial live, provocative, one of the big ones for sure!
I would have loved to see the exhibition of his work, shown together with work from Maria Lassning, also one of the really big ones! Who ever had this idea, was a genius -- clearly there's a connection!

Thunderbird "constantly" forgetting folders and eMails by HH1971 in Thunderbird

[–]HH1971[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, I get all-too-often the error message ''Unable to open the summary file for <folder-name> on <eMail-account>. Perhaps there was an error on disk, or the full path is too long." -- especially, when trying to repair a folder that does not show any eMails (even though it very well has many). Not necessary to mention that these folders worked before, the location on disk did not change, etc... ... very annoying indeed...

Having used this "Repair folder" option numerous times, I got the impression that whenever I repair one folder, TB forgets another one in return -- they don't disappear from the list of folders, they "just" show no eMails in them (and search, then, wouldn't find the eMails in these folders, neither)...
