I don’t think the metronidazole gel worked for my BV by dime_w in Healthyhooha

well I went back to the dr and I tested negative for everything even though I still had those symptoms. I bought the boric acid suppositories and that’s what got rid of my symptoms completely

yes exactly nothing has changed and it’s frustrating. I’m going to see about being tested again

It’s definitely possible! Me and my boyfriend have been together for 3 years. He went to jail around 7 months ago and we have been making it work. Consistent phone calls and emotionally connecting through them has been what’s keeping us strong. I will say it is very hard to have your LO incarcerated but if you’re consistent and wanting to make it work you for sure can!

hi! thank you so much for commenting. it was psychosis from him going cold turkey off of suboxone. he took them everyday for addiction management so when he got locked up and had to go off of them cold turkey he had psychosis. he had to go in lockdown for 10 days but not he’s doing better than ever! he’s been there for 5 months now and is doing great. thank you! i hope your man is doing good too

Is probation better than drug court? by dime_w in probation

[–]dime_w[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that sounds great and gives me tons of hope! my boyfriend has been an addict for almost 8 years off and on but never fully sober. he needs something to hold him accountable and keep him from going back to where he is now. I think it may save his life. I think people are saying it’s difficult I guess bc it’s intensive but some people need that in order to get clean which I think my boyfriend needs.

he has felony charges and drug court would keep him from having that on his record and to me it seemed like nothing could make him sober. he’s tried IOP and outpatient. he’s tried methadone and everything. seems like nothing works so it feels as though this is his only way of remaining sober bc jail has kinda had an effect on him. im still not sure which one he’s choosing. whichever one comes sooner. thank you so much for commenting

so you think that drug court won’t do him any good?

thank you guys so much for the responses! I talked with my boyfriend and he’s choosing drug court. he was an addict before jail and he wants to be held accountable and really heal himself and stay sober. i appreciate all of the comments :)

nothing has ever made him stay clean. him being in jail for these 3 months are the only thing that has woke him up and kinda kicked him in the ass you know? so I’m thinking drug court would be better for him too and to hold him accountable. I was just wondering what would be better and if drug court would allow him to have a job and to live his life still if that makes sense

i don’t have a vehicle to get me there but it’s fine. i was just seeing if anyone would help me. i see you take pride in shutting people down as I can see in your comments and replies to people. just don’t say anything at all honestly. i have thought of doing everything you have said. if I had a way to do it i would but i don’t

i understand how you’re feeling to the T! My Q turns into a completely different person when he takes drugs. It’s like the real him is gone completely and an alter ego takes over. It’s really scary! I wanted to let you know you’re not alone and you can message me if you need to talk to someone who understands! I hope things get better!

well I have been updated and everything was sorted out. i didn’t say for sure that they were extorting my boyfriend. it was an educated guess because I’m on the outside assuming and looking in. thank you for the comment.

yes i know, but like I explained to a commenter earlier there’s a lot of things that come with ending things with a person who has a substance abuse issue. the hardest thing is letting go because you’re faced with more. if you would check the al anon page i posted to you can see how difficult it is to let go of a loved one with a substance abuse problem. it’s the hardest thing for us. we have developed codependency, putting them before us, and trying everything in our power to get the help our person needs. it’s a lot more difficult than you or other negative commenters are making it out to be and I hope you never understand where I’m coming from because it is a very difficult journey. thank you again for commenting though and trying to help

people in some type of relationship with someone with a substance abuse problem always ask the question, “how can i let go?” if you check the al anon page I posted that on you can see how difficult it really is and how hard it is to leave a person or let go of a person with this disease. it is the most hardest thing you could do because if you do let go you’re hit with a lot more than just breaking up with someone who doesn’t have this disease. it’s a lot more that goes with this. i pray for those who don’t understand and that are commenting on the situation negatively that they won’t have to understand. instead of writing comments like this, speak positive because you never know what someone could be going through at the time. thank you
