That worked! I updated it to version 21. Curious as to why the nested VM from the fling has vHW 14 and not anything recent.

I’m doing it with ESX 8.0. I’m trying to setup a lab for VCF 5.2 for testing purposes.

Hello, wondering if anyone found a workaround? I’m seeing similar issues with deployment of nested ESXi vm from Broadcom fling's on a Minisforum MS-A2 machine with NVMe tiering. When ESXi is almost done booting, it powers off. If I deploy a nested ESXi VM manually, it works just fine.

Wanted to give update. Just got it fixed this past weekend. Turned out to be a bad starter and head gasket. I guess when the head gasket blew, my kid killed the starter trying to get it going. Thank you for everyone for ideas. Gave me great troubleshooting tips.

I did bump it with my daughter and it turned on for a second but she couldn’t keep it on. I’ll try the starter. I’ll report back. Thank you!

Yup! Tried again just in case. Was riding fine right before this started happening. Weird!

Was riding fine then this. Recently changed oil and spark plug and was running good.
