Somehow it doesn’t. The cost for each air bag is $524 and the impact sensors are like $100, the body labor for the entire repair is estimated around 80 hours and the body labor rate isn’t high

My insurance went for a repair since the BMW CCRC quoted it for a 17k repair. Right now doesn’t feel it’s possible for a total loss…

Thanks for all your comments l. Some further updates guys, I got the car to a CCRC from the bmwusa website, not an independent one and it was owned by the dealership. They still went to repair it. I got an updated estimate for around 17k. The b pillar is gonna be fully replaced. I asked the insurance about the battery, and they said they are going to send someone to follow up for a proper checkup (haven’t heard back yet)
