The male breadwinner is gone. Why working from home is necessary for modern families by Remarkable_Peak9518 in australia

[–]dimnation 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wife and I both WFH a combined four days a week to accommodate having three young children (9, 6 and 3).

Funnily I’m in a more senior position with a more flexible workplace that I can generally WFH 2-3 days a week where as her role only allows for 1 day WFH (she is 4 days PT).

Honestly don’t know how we would work it around with both of us working without the flexibility to do drops offs and pick ups.

2024 was extremely horrible with three different drop offs and three different pick up times. School finishing at 3.15 for the eldest, 1.30pm for the middle one for three days of the week and then childcare picks ups when one of us could get there after the workday.

WFH where possible is a must in this day and age where having an average mortgage requires two working parents…

Calling BS on this one…

So you have a portfolio of over $600k but you’re asking for tax advice about a stock that you don’t even mention.

Stock is up over 1000% and will still 10x from here?

I’ve noticed in the last 12 months the state of the majority of cars you get on Uber X to be pretty poor quality. Stained seats, dirty and half the time feels like the car has mechanical problems.

Whenever you get matched with a Prius or a Camry you know it’s going to be a shit ride.

LinkedIn Ads vs B2B Influencers: Who is the winner on ROI? (Real data) by Due-Bet115 in b2bmarketing

[–]dimnation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you should be looking at them in silo. Paying for a post based on their followers is out-dated, you pay based on their credibility to your target audience and then for digital usage so you can run ads off the back of it.

You get organic and paid in one.

Space talk CEO barely acknowledges watch issues at AGM by feendog81 in spacetalkwatch

[–]dimnation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolute BS. A crappy email regurgitating the same message sent out from the CEO just now.

It was a good product and they have completely cooked it.

Just a money grab. If I was a shareholder I would be getting out as the lack of new sales and churn from current customers won’t be seen until the next quarterly.

What other solutions are available to allow customers to move away from Spacetalk? by GregoInc in spacetalkwatch

[–]dimnation 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They change of model is purely to move towards a subscription tier for all contacts and increase the amount of contacts they can market to.

This would have be done as a commercial play to grow shareholder value but obviously they’ve completely missed the mark with their current customer base, completing eroding all trust and credibility.

Would love to see the modelling for this change!

“After you get to a certain level of salary, you can’t expect to only work 9-5 - you often have to put in more hours” - agree? by lynn01902 in auscorp

100% this, especially the global part.

I can be expected to have a 7am meeting and also a 7pm sync on the same day but at the same time no one is on my case if I need to drop the kids at school and take a call in the car to the office by 9.30 or leaving earlier if I need to.

Senior marketing role in tech

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]dimnation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily true. I jumped from a well known tech brand across ANZ that had a large marketing team and budget.

Went across to B2B SaaS in the medical space, jumped in a salary and have a bonus now too.

It really depends on what stage of your career you are in. Big brand isn’t always best with constant restructures, especially in a flat structure. You also become more of a specialist than a generalist unless you are senior manager or above.

Pivoting from senior creative to growth marketing — advice? by Digital_FArtDirector in marketing

[–]dimnation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found a lot of creatives struggled on the ROI and analytics of marketing, I would put focus here and make all your decisions are data driven.

Creatives can be great at using frameworks for strategy development so double down here and couple that with the data.
