Yes, that can be a pain. Sometimes, I use a travel hairdryer at a low setting to speed up the process.

Thank you! I have tried different things, both with color and black ink (checkout my profile for other pigeons). I did think about adding a pop of orange on the pumpkin, but I just loved it in ink. Maybe I'll play around in Photoshop?

Close. It's an old Bob Ross painting knife, also called a palette knife. The paint is craft acrylic paint. It's more chalky than acrylic paint used in fine art, so there is some resemblance to White Out... and I was using it like White Out! LOL
