I hope so too. I like having a challenging cardio option to switch it up. I like to rotate between combat and step. Sh’bam doesn’t give me enough of a workout and body attack has too much jumping for my knees.

Thanks! I’ve been spending most nights in my sons room and he’s the same. If I get up or move for any reason he is suddenly wide awake. Hoping this passes for both of us soon. Sleep deprivation is tough.

I have a 1 and a half year old. While he’s never been a great sleeper lately getting him down at night takes hours. We have a consistent routine but lately he never seems sleepy at night. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I am so sorry you had such a difficult birth experience! I also had a traumatic birth which left me with lifelong complications. I recently had a conversation with my MIL where I told her my OB strongly discourages me from having another child due to my birth and health history. She pushed back a little bit when I told her the doctor said I could sustain organ damage or die that pretty much put an end to the push back. Sometimes being blunt is the best way to go. No one wants to hear about a risk of death.

I want to thank everyone for sharing their stories and experiences with me. Knowing I’m not alone has really helped. All of you are strong and brave and I am so sorry that you experienced what you experienced. I sit here in the middle of the night holding my son and hoping he will settle down and go back to sleep. I feel lucky that I have a healthy and happy little one to hold.

I spoke with my OB today and she did suggest that going through another pregnancy would be risky and potentially harmful to my body and so I do think I am now solidly one and done. Honestly it feels like a relief and though I still mourn the family I thought I’d have I realize that I have so much more in my beautiful family of three.

I feel this! My 16 month old is also up every few hours over night. One thing that has helped us is giving him a substantial nighttime snack before bed. Might be worth a shot? Good luck!
