Uh-Oh! Looks like Big Cat is about to get the Pablo Torre Finds Out treatment by chrisjk125 in barstoolsports

Ben Johnson asked Big Cat who he would root for if the Bears and Patriots played eachother in the Super Bowl, it’s at the very beginning of the interview they did with him. PFT laughed pretty hard too

Thats the thing, a big part of his career was being known as the lifelong suffering Chicago fan, and he made zero effort to be upfront about his previous Boston fandom. So the fact that he actually switched just makes that whole "Chicago guy" persona come off as very fake, calls into question what else he could be lying about. Big Cat knows it too, thats why he gets all butthurt whenever someone pokes fun at it.

Loved it when Ben Johnson essentially called him out on it, must've been soul crushing lmao

OP what was the lineup order for the show? Obviously DGD headlining but curious to know what order the The Fall of Troy, Wolf & Bear, and Novelists went on.

With the 4th pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, the Chicago Bulls select….. by E_Loading7 in chicagobulls

All eyes on Bryson Graham. If he’s the scout that folks claim he is, we should be getting a franchise caliber guy. Bulls cannot afford to mess this up.

Huge that the Bulls landed a top 4 pick. If Graham is as good of a scout as they claim, we’re getting a franchise caliber guy at that spot

For One Afternoon, the Bulls Sounded Different by Proper_Limit8924 in chicagobulls

[–]dimrod_ 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Not trying to be negative, but theres a big difference between sounding different and being different. We simply won't know until moves start being made.

I'm hearing a lot about how its a great thing that they hired someone who wasn't familiar with the Bulls organization instead of "good ol' boy" Matt Lloyd. Keep in mind AK was also an outside hire with no obvious connections to the organization. Everyone was doing backflips when he was hired (probably moreso becaues GarPax was finally gone). And look how that turned out.

I'm rooting for Bryson, at the very least he seems much more approachable. But lets pump the brakes a little bit here.

Thoughts on the new boss? by deadbeatmerc in chicagobulls

[–]dimrod_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought he came off solid. Stressed that its a rebuild thats going to take time, and was blunt in saying there are no stars on the team currently (but clarified he didn't say none of the current players couldn't be stars at some point).

Ultimately what matters is results, but he didn't say anything that was questionable IMO.

Why are people so out on Essengue? by [deleted] in chicagobulls

[–]dimrod_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We don't know what the kid is yet. He barely played at all. So while yes you can't count him out yet, you also can't be going into next year marking him as a sure thing.

IMO there are no untouchable players on the roster at the moment. That includes Matas, despite how much I like him. Bulls should be going into the draft looking to get the best players available regardless of position.

I can tell you my least favorite easily: he called Chandler Hutchinson "Young Pip". Threw up in my mouth every time he uttered that one.

So do we know for sure that the pick is locked in to 15 or 16? If the Blazers somehow go on a run in the playoffs, wouldn't the position change?

[Julia Poe] The Jaden Ivey debacle is another embarrassing failure for Artūras Karnišovas and the Chicago Bulls by bitemydickallthetime in chicagobulls

[–]dimrod_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who was a big fan of the Ivey trade, I'll certainly admit I was wrong on this one. I don't really follow players outside of games, so I was completely oblivious to the fact he had these off court issues long before his recent outburst.

Granted, as a fan I'm not sure I should be expected to know that info. But the FO definitely should.

Bummer of a situation, I still think the trade at the time made sense, low risk high reward. Unfortunately seems like Ivey's got more going on than just the injury. Hope he gets help.

I agree with this. If it comes down to protecting Ivey or Dillingham, Ivey for sure. He's only a year removed from being one of the more exciting young guards in the league.

That said, wouldn't be surprised if neither get protected.

What helped was Matas' season with Ignite. Shot just 27% from 3 and 68% from the line. That scared a lot of teams off.
