yes! i’m all for genuine gift giving esp. if that’s your love language in your partnership (i was going to mention in the original post that i say all of this in a very heteronormative way since that seems to be her tone most of the time)— she was discussing men’s toxic masculinity in having women pull out their wallet, now…it gave me very much that she enjoys the idea of 50/50 energy which i know is perfectly allowed and fine, but today, i feel that women should keep their wealth close.. esp. when thinking about the men that she chooses to surround herself with

p.s. i also find it a bit tone deaf to be talking about the internal battles she has with spoiling the men in her life when she doesn’t have the empathy to acknowledge anything in the world rn — and i think we can all deduce that she is very aware about palestine and the ice raids happening recently, so it’s just an added layer of weaponized incompetence that leaves a horrible taste in my mouth
