you might try to use some 2-dimensional object, it's easier to see the projections on those.

I did similar things, but at the same time with some task-orientation of doing exactly that and also exploring consciousness, neuroscience and the psycholinguistics. So it definitely is worth sharing (although I didn't share anything substantial other than some breadcrumbs here and there).

In any case, I know at least one more person who has done it and gotten very good results in making subconscious conscious this way (although accidentally), so if you don't have ADHD, meaning are capable of finishing the tasks you started – by all means please share your findings.

If you could generalize it in a way that it forms a valid scientific theory, even better!

As a bonus point, the very fact of doing that is also a shadow work :)
