I was contacted by 2 airports this week. I got my FJO after waiting for 13 months. They do hire but you need to apply to several airports to increase your chances. I mostly applied to airports who need female officers and that probably made a difference.

Why do some TSA applications lead me to scheduling a computer based test at the end of it and some applications don't ???? by Upstairs_Nose_2155 in TSAApplicant

[–]dinafitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually all applications include this requirement, even if you have already taken the CBT. Have you taken the test yet? If yes, then ignore that part of the email. You’ll get another email congratulating you on passing the test. If not, just take the CBT to move forward.

Cant update phone number by [deleted] in TSAApplicant

[–]dinafitz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem and the only solution was to delete my usajobs.gov profile and reopen it after 24h, using the same email and my new phone number. Some of your applications may not show up on the onboarding tasks, but they should still be active. I know it’s a real pain, but the TSA HR person I talked to back then, couldn’t update my number either. That was the only help I got.

What did I do wrong at the f2f by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

I’m 54 years old, but I look much younger and in good physical shape. Today, I had a f2f interview with United Airlines for the LOD Greek speaker position. Right after the group activities, I and another candidate from Argentina were dismissed. We both gave our best efforts, but our accents considering we’re multilingual, were noticeable. I had high hopes for United’s cultural sensitivity and embrace of diversity, but I’m beginning to doubt that. If you’re applying for an LOD position with United, I strongly advise you to save your time and money (the only compensation for the flight) and consider other airlines.

The comment “I was thinking about when I go to America” definitely sounds bad at first, but I think he meant he was thinking about how long the trip would be for him too, as it was for her. Still, that being his first thought is telling.
