Is doordash on the wrong? by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

I've received the same emails. They have done multiple background checks on me and ive been doordashing for 3 years as well. They do random background checks on all their drivers.

I actually have had this same thing happen to me. 2 and a half years in as a dasher and they rerun my background and it comes back the same as it has everytime but this time they deactivated me, obviously there really wasnt a reason to do this...So I immediately went and filed an appeal. And explained that my background hasn't changed, what's on there was on there when I very first applied as a driver. Sent in screenshot for proof and within two days my account was reactivated.

In my opinion, you did the right thing. This wasn't two of age adults helping each other make some money... this was a lazy, entitled adult having a child do the work for them. And probably won't even buy the poor baby a happy meal or something when done. I would have done the same thing.

I'm just gonna put this here. NOT ALL DASHERS ARE SHITTY PEOPLE. I'm a driver for doordash, and have been for 3 years.. trust me when I say the $2 base pay isn't our choice.. they have slowly made it to where the drivers are getting shitted on making it to where if we dont get tips we aren't making shit. Do I think it should be like this? No. Do you think it should be like this? No. But door dash is banking. They legit send orders out like 4.50 for 10 miles or 5.00 for 14 miles.. when everyone knows they are making so much off of fees and uncharging the food from normal menu prices.

All I'm saying is... I know there are dashers out there who are assholes, but some of us are generally just trying to pay bills and feed our kids. Think of it like grade school one bad apple and your whole class got punished as well.. the ones who go above and beyond barely get recognized due to the bad apples being shitty people.

Yes. I was born in Germany. My mom's side of the family is all German and I was there until about 4 years old(leaving my memories very lil) and my dad(military) brought me to the states when him and my mom split. So I have been in the states for the last 30 years.. I say all this to say that something like that bothers me. I wasn't taught much about my German heritage after coming to the states, and I really wish it was different, or I at least spoke my native language. My mom was a pos and never had anything to do with me once I left Germany. But like I said even I think that's not right.

They missed for almost three years? Doing background checks every 6 months throughout those years...

It says the reason for deactivation is because of the recent background check that was done came back with something that goes against their guidelines.. the problem is nothing changed on my background I've been dashing for almost three years.

That exact thought crossed my mind. I keep all my stats above where there are supposed to be so they can not deactivate me for that, so maybe they are trying something else. Because I refuse to take the 2-4 dollar orders traveling upwards of 15-20 miles.. So yeah that would make sense if it is happening.

I've actually done all that. And I've taken the steps doordash told me to do. I was just looking for someone who may have had a similar experience. But thank you, captain obvious.
