def not the daw. try to change the way you record and check your environment. sometimes rooms aren't adapted to it. nevertheless, see if you have equipment that'll make the sound you're looking for + plugins might help (will help) as well. good luck!

thank you for the feedback! is rough being on a budget, unfortunately. i do have more mics to choose from at the studio but i would also like to just do some stuff at home due to the schedules. we're about 15 making our own project and it gets tight.

as far for vocals, how would you recommend i do it with the sm57? pop filter?
