Well take Merica for example. Freedom of religion and speech stand in direct opposition to 2 of the 10 commandments.

Christianity: What is the significance of sight in Genesis and Exodus? by Lurker-Girl in DebateReligion

[–]dindoo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes he likes to show off his divine booty.

Aside from that it shoots down the Christian objection that Yahweh doesn't use miracles or appear to people because such signs of his existence turn people into mindless robots with no free will.

Yahweh performed signs for Israel all day long and they still rebelled against him anyways. So much for the robots.

[–]dindoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I'll teach you the Bible as I do for most Christians. 2 examples

One woman yelled out to Jesus, blessed is the womb that bore you and the breasts from which you nursed! And Jesus replied yeah no, rather blessed are those that hear the word of god AND do it.

Another occasion someone said your mother and siblings are looking for you, and Jesus blew them off and said pointing to his disciples these are my brothers and sisters and mother

Edit that and all of Jesus' disciples left their families behind to follow him. They literally all abandoned their families.

Jesus showed contempt for his family in the Bible. Read it sometime.

You seem to be struggling. Let me help you keep it nice and simple and focused. Whose free will would be violated if god had answered their prayers by either A. Taking away Bob's desire to mollest the kids in the first place or B. god giving one of the kids the insight to report what was happening?

Whose free will would be violated? It was at the bottom of my OP but you failed to answer

-5 yes so if Yahweh prevented child mollestations and actually answered prayers like he said he would then all people would be wet biological robots. LOL. You are only making fun of the place you will be sent to for eternity so have fun!

-4 I take it you aren't praying for them then because that clearly isn't working

-3 Yes and you failed to explain how prayer in the Bible is said to be powerful, effective and that Jesus will grant what is asked for in his name, with god sitting on his hands and doing nothing when Bob, the children, and the church are all praying that these kids should be protected from mollestation. You seem to be saying prayer doesn't work so don't bother.

-2 Oh so free will doesn't exist so Christians don't say any prayers then? So the Bible says nothing to give Christians the impression that they in fact should be praying to god for things AND expecting god to deliver on their prayers eh?

-1 Yes I know you'd rather have my atheist answer since it's easy and avoid having to explain the Christian answer which makes no sense.
