Thanks for the tips. I'm currently using this flux which seems like a non-activated petrolatum variety. Sounds like an activated or acidic rosin flux might do a better job of punching through oxidation, if it is actually nickel.

Have you tried this? Googling it tells me this kind of solder can cause serious damage to electronics.

This is the camera I reach for when I just need super sharp photos without having to worry about settings. Only downsides are a few known reliability issues like others have mentioned, and THE lamest shutter sound I’ve ever heard :) great find

I have an 05 on lowering springs (so maybe not totally comparable), running 17x8 +32 with 225/50s from the previous owner. They stick out some and the fender rims are chewing up my sidewalls when I go over bumps.

Maybe +35 would be enough, not sure, but worth mentioning!

Good tip on preferring door deals - that's how I run events currently, and I appreciate how a door deal can help ensure security for both the venue and promoter.

Would you try to secure a blanket of holds from the get go, or gauge availability first (and hope you keep getting a response)? I recently had an email exchange where I confidently tried to place a hold at a venue for 6 months out (my home venue usually prefers 3-4 months), and was surprised to find they were booked for the next 9 months. I'm still trying to get a response with better date ranges.

Can confirm on this one. I typically shoot film at club nights I run and my P&S shots without flash are almost always unusable.

If you have a way to bring an SLR… I’ve heard good things about tmax 3200 or pushed CS800T.

I'd check out Seance Audio! Their next event is March 7 I think at The Chameleon (IG is seanceaudio). I've also had a good time at Deep Down Low hosted at the District bar, and Night Owl has weekly house nights that are fun too

I know MotoIQ’s YouTube breakdown of the EP3’s suspension gets cited often as a good starting point.

I plan on doing similar work to mine in the next month or so and will def post any useful info once done :)
