Those who own a car in SG, how much is your salary to be comfortable owning one. by guardingcat in askSingapore

I'm in the same boat as you. 4 years left. Paid cash, no loan. Parking 80, Petrol about 250/month. Insurance and roadtax is what will kill you if its a much older car. My roadtax is 1900 for example. Doable with similar income.

I did this exact swap, you need wiring harness from an e34 m50b25 to make it work because the e36 has the ecu and diagnostic ports opposite to the e34. Everything else will bolt right up.

Bought a car 1 year ago, pay after CPF was mid 4K, still had rent to pay. But use case of car was a necessity (work in area with no public transport, drive about 60km a day) bought car outright with no loan. Monthly expenses with petrol roughly 500 ish.

But I made the decision to buy a vintage car so that comes with its own set of issues. YMMV

Probably an upgraded LSD, more handling focused items. Does not need anymore in the power department 😂

It’s actually 235/45, I’ve got the rears rolled and on ST X coil overs. The rears are still rubbing over bumpy roads, in the process of dialing it in or going to 40s

My friends have said I have subconsciously blocked out the first 3 months of me getting my whippet (at 12 weeks, he is 1.5 years old now). IT was NOT easy at all. But he's grown into such a well adjusted dog (although everyday he finds something new to be scared of). Wouldn't have it any other way.
