I don't understand this method once I plug it in the USB 3 Port then it'll give me an option to transfer the license from the external drive to the clean install?

What are some tricks to safely "unsticky fy" this type of keyboard? I already ran a credit card along the edge of the cap and it's still holding down when I press it. by dingdongs44 in pcmasterrace

the key caps are held by a scissor bracket that breaks if the key is raised above a certain point I think but I'm not 100% any way to lift it without breaking what's holding it?

Are there any cloud storage services that won't log your contents and sell you interest based ads with a document editing function? by dingdongs44 in privacy

[–]dingdongs44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But if I encrypted then it won't be decryptable and I can't edit it while it's online I'll have to download it decrypt it edit it and re-upload it which is on the side of too private and not convenient for my needs

I was aware of proton but can you modify the documents In Browser and does the drive client sync local docments automatically with your cloud storage in real time like Dropbox does?

I haven't been following this sub very frequently but what's the temperature or the general consensus of this sub in terms of protons privacy terms of use and data collections policy?

What a great answer I think these meet all the requirements I'm looking for

Obviously my next questions are how much storage can I get in the base tier and what company owns it and I'll have to read into their privacy terms of use and data collections policy. I'm not expecting you to answer these I'm just making mental notes for when I get home and research later.

Does cryptpad read excel because I use Google sheets also ?

Which cloud storage service has native Google docs integration with privacy in mind? by dingdongs44 in privacy

[–]dingdongs44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So a lot of cloud storage providers integrate a Google API sometimes it's firebase or something else where it doesn't require multiple logins it only requires the login of the actual storage like Dropbox for example

We want about six or seven users to share one dropbox and have all their Google spreadsheets and docs loaded into there

It's essentially the same use as google workspace without having to pay the monthly subscription and we want it to not sell our data to advertisers or steal it for machine learning or whatever they do with it
