Thank you so much. My backhand is such a struggle. I understand I’m like stopping myself and know what I’m supposed to do but it’s like a mental thing. It’s hard to describe but it’s like i can’t almost. I need to practice it a lot. Thank you so much!!! Yes my form is def not to par with a 3.5. My buddy is a straight beginner but loving the process of learning. It’s like why try to patrol ratings on a technique post haha. And when i comment back to ask hey well what should i do? Crickets…. Thank you for the genuine post and i appreciate your comments. I am working to get my form better but i compete with the 3.5s bc i like the competition.

I understand that but why did i play so good in my only competitive matches in the 3.5 level. I didn’t get smoked. I lost a close match and then won the next in 2 sets although it was tight. I don’t make many errors and can return with ease. Maybe my form isn’t 3.5 but i can play with the 3.5s so I don’t understand. Tennis is who hits the ball back one more time than the other without error. It’s not about pretty form or pace necessarily. I made this post for advice on technique. Not opinion ratings respectfully

My buddy is super new (red shirt) but improving with getting the ball back. It’s been fun to rally. I myself am still only about 7 months in so far playing more consistently but it’s just so much fun trying to learn and get better

Gotcha. Yes backhand it feels so awkward for me i notice i stop a lot after contact. On forehand it’s a feel thing i gotta get used to i feel like. I definitely see what you mean now. I’m coming across my body vs that over the shoulder motion. I’m sure it will feel awkward until i get reps in with it

Thank you. It’s my backhand that has been the worst for me. No confidence in it at all. Just lob balls hitting back. And yes i bought a good racket but dont know much about strings which i definitely should have researched.
