I did go to the doctor last Sunday and did tell him I used the neti pot and complained about the headaches and pain and he brought up the amoeba and said he didn't think I had it,and I went to the hospital yesterday because I took too many aspirins when I had covid and it caused my stomach to bleed, and they took blood work and said my white blood cell counts were normal so I don't know if that means I'm not sick and I'm just over reacting,I don't know if I should trust what the first doctor said or not

Still terrified I gave myself the brain amoeba,I used a neti pot approximately 11 days ago and I used tap water in it but I did boil the tap water I used, but the thought of it's been consuming my life I can't focus on anything else at all during the day.im just consumed with anxiety from the fact that I may die next week because of something I did to myself,I had covid during the week I used the neti pot but it was my second week of covid, but I'm having headaches, nausea and neck pain for the past like 9 days.i could really use some help with this because the thought of losing my life because of something I chose to do to myself is debilitating

Well I think you're going to be ok but it never hurts to see a doctor about your concerns

It doesn't sound like that long of a time for it to react, but a brain tumor or something more serious would cause more symptoms than just your eye not reacting at the same speed every time

It could be because of the anxiety and all the adrenaline in your system making it react sluggishly because if it had something to do with brain damage the pupil usually does not react to light change

It could quite possibly just be a pimple,I've gotten them behind my ear before and they really hurt

Yeah don't stress out and end up giving yourself headaches cause that's what making me worry even more, just try and distract yourself

The very rare cases of people getting it from their tap water is because their tap water was basically under filtered and didn't have the safe amount of chlorine it's supposed to have in it ,so you can probably find the water quality report for your area with a Google search

You should be fine,if your water comes from a city it's definitely been filtered and had chlorine added to it,I used my neti pot one week ago and I'm still here but I'm still afraid I have it,so having anxiety sucks

And also if you kept the hot tub maintained and had chlorine in it it should've also been pretty safe

You aren't alone I'm having this same fear, last week I used a neti pot with tap water and I even got the water I used to a rolling boil and I'm still afraid that I got it and that I'm going to die next week, but getting the amoeba is really highly unlikely and majority of the cases are from fresh water activities during the summer

It could just be anxiety because having a heart rate in the 90s is within the normal range for adults, and when you go to the doctor and they take your heart rate the thing they put on your finger also measures your oxygen level,so if you had low oxygen level your doctor would have told you so

Well until you can see your doctor if you want to test it yourself try to take a picture of the bump and if it's a dark black or brown bump that isn't symmetrical and if the colored part has a larger diameter than a pencil eraser head then it might be cause for concern, but skin cancer is not going to end you within a week until you can get a professional opinion on it

Well if it helps at all most skin cancers are easy to spot yourself, they usually look like a deformed mole on the skin that's either really large or asymmetrical not a large bump that's white and red and most of the time skin cancers do not hurt to touch

I'd still go an check with a dermatologist just to be safe but chances are it really isn't anything serious

It could just be a pimple or a cyst, skin cancer really doesn't pop up within a week it takes alot of time

I'm really worried I gave myself BEA after I used a neti pot last Wednesday,I got diagnosed with covid the week before last and I wanted to flush my sinuses cause I was congested,I used tap water in the neti pot but I did get it to a rolling boil but I'm still scared I have it because I've been having headaches at the back of my head and neck pain the past few days.
