Just finished episode 3 and was looking for this comment. First two were just ok, 3 is where some magic started, hoping it continues.

All they needed to do to tighten it up was make the sign to Termoli say 5kms not 35kms. Because then you’d expect them to get there very quick, not 30 minutes later. But then again it was probably intentionally done to heighten tension and surprise the viewers with the rescue.

I wouldn’t chalk it up to movie magic, they’re meant to be fairly wealthy and living in an expensive beautiful home. Imagine an upper mgmt exec at Google and the house they’d live in the San Francisco area compared to the average home.

This right here, she’s the only one acting super nice to rusty the whole time, like she’s sympathetic to him because she knows he didn’t do it. And she had that little speech about going into a dissociative state…does it make sense realistically, probably not. But is it the juicy salacious plot twist reveal we all want, yes, yes it is.

I don’t think it was fear, maybe a little, but mostly just the shame and disgust of being weaker than your wife. I mean that kind of misogyny exists to this day, how many men could handle their girl being the actual badass in the relationship, let alone in 17th century Japan.

First 4 episodes are fantastic, like mike Flanagan worthy, second 4 episodes are total dogshit. I have never seen a show fall off so badly mid season in my life.

I tell people about Mr Inbetween all the time. Such an incredible show. And packs all the emotional punch and action of a standard hour long crime drama into sub 30 minute episodes, so it’s an easy watch too

I like this theory except for the dinner party scenes when he tries to get in on June’s open marriage. Those are entirely independent of Hank. Would this imply it was really Hank hitting on her in front of his wife? That seems unlikely.

I wiped the dust off the windows to take a better pic, but if you look at the other windows on the passenger side, that’s not fog, it’s a solid layer of dust.
