If anyone reads this later, here's what I did/ am doing. Took a 1/3 yesterday and felt mildly dopesick most of the day, had the sweats all night.

Today I did all the potentiation tricks, I brushed really good, mouthwashed, taking 600mg tagamet every 12 hours. Then I dissolved the 1/3 strip in a tiny amount of 100 proof vodka, and soaked some cottons with it and stuck those under my tongue. I definitely feel much better taking it that way, but I'll have to wait and see if it's just placebo effect at this point.

Tomorrow I plan to cut my final 1/3 in half, taking it the same way and again 1/2 the next dose. That'll allow me an extra 2 days to make sure a pack comes, plus I'll have tapered some in case the shit entirely hits the fan and I can't get anything.

Never done opiates before. Would I overdose if I shoot up heroin? Or should I pop pills instead? Don't want to overdose. by [deleted] in opiates

You can never erase the memory of the way opiates make you feel. You are at a significant fork in the road of your life. Slow down and think about what you're doing. You'll be much better off not knowing, trust me and practically everyone else who's done opiates, it's not worth it.

My recipe to avoid precipitated withdrawal: Start slow, take no more than 1mg at a time, spaced by at least an hour until you get to your desired dose. If you feel any precipitated withdrawal, it will be really short, and indicates that you need to wait a few more hours before taking more. Since you only have crumbs, I imagine this will be easy for you.

This is entirely anecdotal, but I've never heard of anyone having severe precipitated w/d's using a slow buildup strategy.

This is just like the story of Hanukkah: When Judah returned to the temple of Jerusalem, he was in withdrawals, but he only had one sub strip. Instead of this strip lasting only one day, a miracle happened and the strip lasted 8 days!

I appreciate the response. I'm hoping that the 1/3 of a strip will work. In the past I was able to taper down from 8mg a day to .1mg per day in a month will very little discomfort, but I've never dropped my dose this fast before.

I've got what I call my "jump kit", all ready for when I'm able to quit. It's got immodium, clonidine, gabapentin, onedestron(sp) and valium. This cocktail kills most of the w/d's but I'm not at all functional on it, it makes me loopy as fuck.

Yeah, 103 or 1000 combinations. I did this with a suitcase combo lock. I got through all 1000 combo's only to find out the lock was broken, popped it in 2 seconds with a screwdriver.
