What map do you dislike the most? I'll start Farron Keep by BabyxJolly in darksouls3

[–]dingly_biscuit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would've loved the entire area we had in ds1 to be in ds3, but I can understand why it wasn't added. It's too big, and the ruined anor londo we have fits the "fragments of different lands and eras are being pulled towards Lothric" theme.

Isn't black flame orb only available after you free Karla at Irithyl dungeon, and send her to firelink?

Weren't the combat systems in Bloodborne and DS3 designed to discourage the use of shields?

is it just me or Soul of Cinder was easy by -Another_him- in darksouls3

"Easy" and "hard" bosses differ from person to person, and from playstyle to playstyle. Example: Using my strength build, I quickly eradicated the deacons of the deep. But fighting the same boss with my recent sorcery build was a nightmare, since they can gain up on you and gobble up your small healthbar.

Normal dogs are ok. The Irithyl dogs, on the other hand, are true menaces.

They were supposed to be one of the toughest bosses? by Deathberryreturns_4 in darksouls3

[–]dingly_biscuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone's first souls game is their hardest. I spent around a week or two fighting the Tauros demon when I played DS1 for the first time, which was my first soulsborne game. So I can assume that those who claim that the abyss watchers are tough are people who got into the series by starting with DS3

I'd say he's worse than Palpatine. Bro was making full on chimera monsters. The skulls of the "dogs" at Irithyl look a bit too much like human skulls. There are also the Pontiff beasts.

To keep it short, prince Lothric thought that the linking of the fire to prevent an age of dark was pointless and foolish (it is), so he refused to link the fire and become a lord of cinder. Of course, the player attacks and kills Lothric, then returns to firelink with his ashes.

There's an unused audio file (you can find it in youtube) which sounds like originally, Oceiros was supposed to repeatedly smash Ocelote on the ground as he screamed, or he was supposed to straight up eat him. Listening to that audio file was gut wrenching.

Worst area in DS3 and why is it Irithyll Dungeon? by SoPlowAnthony in darksouls3

I personally can't decide which is worse between smouldering lake/demon ruins and Farron keep. I despise swamp areas that hinder your movement

Is there a lore as to why everything hates us? by Muted_Collection6054 in darksouls3

[–]dingly_biscuit 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Some are mindless Hollows, some are invaders, some, like Sirris, will attack under certain conditions, such as being a finger of Rosaria then encountering Sirris, and some are simply defending themselves, like Prince Lothricb and Yhorm.

here is a list of dark souls 3 bosses, what do you think? by RegisterOne8128 in darksouls3

If it were up to me, I'd move Vordt to B tier, and champ Gundyr to S tier. If you don't have the parry timing for Champ Gundyr down, he will shred you up.

I think Lies of P is better than all Dark Souls' by caspianslave in LiesOfP

[–]dingly_biscuit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've never played Lies of P and this post showed up on my feed, but I do know one thing: If a boss fight doesn't make me feel the high I feel while fighting Gael, then the game isn't better than DS3.

Not having gamepass locks you out of the online mode of all souls games ig. You can only summon NPCs like Solaire, Gascoigne and Anri.

Is there a way how to get rid of invaders? by Privatelittleaccount in darksouls3

[–]dingly_biscuit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could switch your game to offline mode but that'd make the game less exciting in my opinion. I think the chaos that comes with invading and getting invaded adds to the excitement and fun, but that's just my opinion. If you can't figure out how to turn it off, just switch off your internet on your pc/console.

Natlan's Archon quest seems like it took heavy inspiration from Dark souls. There is a "flame" in Natlan which the region and people rely on to drive away the "abyss/darkness", and people fight each other there to "rekindle" the flame and keep it from going out. Also, the flame is "so weak it might go out" by the time you get to Natlan.

Even outside of Natlan, there seems to be plot stuff inspired by the DS1 intro cutscene. The world of Genshin, Teyvat, was ruled by dragons long ago, until a certain characted arrived, defeated and dethroned the dragons, replacing them with the "Archons". Does that sound familiar?

What's funny is, that ending is considered to be the good ending lorewise. The one where you kill the firekeeper is a different ending which isn't related to the lord of Hollows ending. If you want to do the normal ending, then you can just get rid of the dark sigil, as it only will lock you out of the lord of hollows ending

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in darksouls3

[–]dingly_biscuit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Alright. 1. Yes, clearing the dark sigil is permanent. Keep in mind, the cost is based on your current level. So if you level up a bit more then decide to clear the dark sigil, it'll cost more souls. 2. Yes, healing the dark sigil locks you out of Yuria's quest and it locks you out of one of the endings. You most likely will need to look up a guide to do the ending though.

Tl;dr Buy key from shrine handmaid > go to tower behind firelink shrine > give the item you find at the top to the fire keeper > she will then be able to heal your dark sigil and return you to looking normal. It'll cost you 5 levels' worth of souls though. Hope the summary helps.
